Mr. Mickey J. Spence, a resident of Willow Springs, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday night, May 30, 2018 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. Born September 27, 1965 to Clemet and Betty Lee (McKee) Spence, he was 52 years old.
Mickey grew up and attended school in Willow Springs. After graduating from WSHS, he took some college courses. He was married to Leona Kerns and to this union two children were born, Josh and Micheal Spence. Later he married Crystal Aldridge and they had one son, Garit Spence. Mickey was employed as Salesman Manager for Webtrol Pumps in West Plains for 23 years. He had many enjoyments in life. He was a huge fan of all the Willow Springs Sports programs. He also loved running, hunting, and spending time caring for his lawn. However, his favorite times were spent with his family and especially his grandchildren. It has been said he was loved by many people and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clemet Spence and a sister, Vickey Spence.
Mickey is survived by his mother, Betty Spence of Willow Springs; his son, Josh Spence and his wife, Tiffany and their sons, Cooper and Joseph of Zanoni; and by his sons, Micheal Spence and Garit Spence; brothers, Rick Spence, Dick Spence, and Nick Spence, all of Willow Springs.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Mickey’s name to Willow Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses and may be left at the funeral home.
A family night/visitation for Mr. Spence will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M at Willow Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church in Willow Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home.
