Connie Rae Hilburn Reed (Lansdown), 68, of Joplin, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016.

She was born on July 21, 1948, in McMinnville, Oregon, to the late Clifford Hilburn and Willa Geane Gundell Lemon. She lived in various states growing up before settling in the Joplin area in 1991. Connie enjoyed spending her time visiting garage sales and flea markets and she especially loved being “Nanny” to her sweet grandchildren.

Connie was preceded in death by her biological parents; her step-father, David Lemon; her step-mother, Kathleen Hilburn; and one brother, Billy Leon Hilburn.

Survivors include her five children, Jeff Reed and wife, Liz, of Cassville, Missouri, Doug Reed and wife, Gracie of Granby, Missouri, Brandy Hobson and husband, Michael, of Joplin, Casey Himmelsbach and husband, Reece, of Neohso, Missouri, and Jana Babst and husband, Robert, of Springfield; and one sister, Janice Kay Rubenaker, of California; and ten grandchildren, Brody Stout, Nellie Jo Reed, Cotton Reed, Sara Hobson, Ryan Hobson, Katee Hobson, Addison Hobson, Bradli Himmelsbach, a baby boy due in October, Giuliana Babst and Harper Babst.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Russell Cemetery in Butterfield, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
