La Plata Home Press, Feb. 11, 1981:
Harold E. Crawford, 69, of Ebensburg, Pennsylvania, formerly of Gibbs, Missouri, died in a Johnstown, PA hospital.
Born October 22, 1911 in Gibbs, he was the son of William Everett and Nellie Conkle Crawford. Mr. Crawford resided in the Gibbs community until moving to the state of Pennsylvania 35 years ago. Before his retirement in 1971, he was employed with the Bethlehem Steel Company.
Surviving are one sister, Helen M. Dye of Shawnee Mission, KS and two brothers, Myron Crawford of Kirksville and Homer Crawford of southern Missouri.
Graveside services were held Friday afternoon (Feb. 6, 1981) at 1 o'clock in the Gibbs Cemetery. The Rev. Orville Shriver conducted the services.
The body was at the Pollack Funeral Home in La Plata.
