Funeral services for Orval Floyd Kelley, 83, of Gibbs, will be held at 10:30 Saturday morning December 18, 1982 in Hudson-Rimer Park View Chapel, Kirksville. The Rev. Archie Cooper will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery at Gibbs.
Mr. Kelley died Thursday December 16, 1982 in Adair County Nursing Home, Kirksville where he had been a patient since September 15, 1982.
The son of John H. and Meda M. Reyner Kelley, he was born November 4, 1899 at Gibbs. On September 23, 1920 he married Mary Ethel Watson who survives. Also surviving are one son, Lloyd Kelley of Gibbs; one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Mary) Bruns of St. Louis; one sister, Mrs. Joseph (Ermel) Stribling of LaPlata; three granddaughters; one grandson and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by one son, Clarence Kelley in 1980.
Mr. Kelley was a life-long resident of the Gibbs community where he was engaged in farming.
He had served on the Democratic Committee in the Wilson Township. He was also a member of the committee that planned the Adair County Nursing District.
