Funeral services for Mr. Edgar Buys, of Gainesville, Fla., were held Saturday, February 13, at the Church of Christ in Steele with Cleo Blue officiating. Burial was in No. 8 cemetery near Cooter, with John W. German of Steele in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Buys, 58, was born at Douglas, Missouri on February 14, 1902 and died at Gainesville on Monday, February 13. He was a member of the Church of Christ and had lived in Pemiscot county until two years ago. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mae Buys, one daughter, Mrs. Jerlene Martin and two grandchildren; all of Gainesville; four brothers, Percy, Boyd and Tom Buys all of Steele and Earl Buys of Delphos, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Brown and Mrs. Edna Lambert both of Steele.
