MRS. LUCILLE RIDDLE, YOUNG MOTHER, DIES
Succumbs After Illness With Pneumonia and Indigestion
Mrs. Lucille Riddle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Forrest, of 512 South Main street, died Saturday night about 11 o'clock at the home of her parents. She had been ill two weeks with double pneumonia, but an attack of acute indigestion was believed to have precipitated her death.
Mrs. Riddle had attended the Kirksville public schools and four years ago was married to Ora Mathias Riddle, of Marceline. There were two daughters born, Rosemyrtle and Joanne, and the mother and babies went to make their home with her parents two years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest will rear the children.
The deceased woman also leaves two sisters, Mss [sic] Buna Forrest, who is at home, and Mrs. Gladys Teeters, Gainesville[,] Texas, and a brother, Thomas Forrest, whose whereabouts are unknown.
Funeral services were conducted at the Dee Riley Funeral Home this afternoon by the Rev. Cyrus Davis, and the body was interred in Highland Park cemetery.
