Abbie C. Bragg, 85, of 1014 N. Osteopathy died at 7:25 this morning in a Kirksville hospital where he had been a patient four weeks.

The son of Abner and Kathryne (Kolmyer) Bragg, he was born April 19, 1882 in Adair county. On March 17, 1909, in Kirksville, he married Edna Kephart who preceded him in death on Sept. 26, 1938. Also preceding him in death were two sons, Delmas Bragg and one in infancy, two brothers and one sister.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ellis (Trevia) Jones of 7 Grim Court North and Catherine Smith of 311 W. Jefferson; one brother, Robert Bragg of 1402 East Jefferson; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bragg, who had been a well-known farmer, resided on the same farm in southwestern Adair county his entire life until 1959 when he retired and moved to Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock in the Funeral Chapel of Davis & Davis with the Rev. Archie Cooper of Kirksville officiating. Burial will be in the Pinkerton cemetery in western Adair county.

Bearers will be: Larry J. Smith, Keith Jones, Jerry Jones, Glen Novinger, Jr., Abner Bragg and Loren Reese.
