MRS MARGARET CARLIN DIES

Margaret Rumbaugh was born May 19, 1848 and departed this life Feb. 20, 1929 at the age of 80 years, nine months and one day. She was married to Sidney Russell, Feb. 27, 1866. To this union ten children were born. Who are Mrs. Susan Couch, of Drumright, Okla., George Russell of Purdy, Mo, Mrs. Mary Black of Fairland Okla., Mrs. Francis Marriott, of Springfield, Colo., Chas Russell of Monett, Sol Russell of Portland Kansas and Maggie Fleetwood of Wentworth, Mo. Her husband Sidney Russell and two children William and Laura A. preceded her in death. later she married to Marshall Carlin, who also preceded her in death. She leaves forty-five grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren, two half brothers, Ranse and Alonzo Haddock, one half sister, Mrs. Rachel Banks. She was converted at an early age and united with the Eagle Rock Baptist church, where she remained a faithful member until her death. She was a faithful and devoted mother, and leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn her going. Funeral services were conduct at the New Site Baptist Church on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 23, 1929 by Chas Vanzadt. A quartet from Monett, composed of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Meador and Mr. and Mrs. Percy Johnson, with Mrs. Kinnell, wife of Rev. F.B.Kinnell, at the piano, furnished splendid music. The body was laid to rest in the New Site cemetery under the direction of the L.H. Blankenship Undertaking Service of Purdy.
