Funeral services were held at the Assembly of God church at Denton Monday afternoon for U.V. Lester of Holland, who died suddenly, apparently of a heart attack, on Friday, January 9. Mr. Lester was attending to business near Gobler at the time of his death.
The Rev. Mr. Leach conducted the service and burial was in Lester Cemetery near Holland, with LaForge Undertaking Company in charge.
Mr. Lester was born July 4, 1891, the son of the late Frank and Nannie Wallace Lester. He is survived by a brother, Shelby Lester of Portageville and three children.
