RALPH J. SIGMAN
Ralph John Sigman was born August 17, 1917 at Simmons, Missouri the son of George W. and Lorena Robinson Sigman, and died in Texas County Memoria Hospital December 7, 1982 at age 65 years, three months and 20 days. He had been in bad health for the past several weeks.
He was a lifelong resident of this area and was a mechanic having retired a short time ago. For many years he operated his own garage and more recently was employed by Cabool Diesel.
He was a friendly and helpful person who will be missed. Many years ago he professed his faith in the Lord and united with the Baptist church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Carl and Herbert.
Surviving are two sons, Ralph Ray Sigman, Cairo, Illiniois and Eddie Lynn Sigman, Roswell, New Mexico; a daughter, Mary Jean Perry, Plymouth, Massachusettes; two brothers, Leonard of Elk Creek and Earl of Cabool; two sisters, Mildred Smith of Texas and Ruth Sloan of Arlington, Tennessee; six grandchildren; two great grandchilden and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, December 10, in Elliott-Gentry Chapel with Rev. Frank Hill officiating. Burial was in Steely Chapel Cemetery Elk Creek.
