Carl Ray Sigman, 57, a lifelong resident of Texas County died Friday morning September 10, 1965 in Saint John's Hospital at Springfield after a short illness.
The son of George and Lorene (Robertson) Sigman he was born at Elk Creek, Mo. on October 13, 1907.
On September 19, 1926 he was united in marriage to Easter Odle and to this union five sons were born.
For a number of years they lived in Simmons community then moved to Cabool.
Easter died in 1961 and Carl was also preceded in death by his mother and one sister.
On May, 1962, he was united in marriage to Nellie Lou Smith and to this union one son was born.
Carl had been employed at the Producers Creamery Company for over 20 years and was night processing foreman.
At the time of his passing he was a member of Cabool Christian Church.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Nellie Lou, six sons, Raymond, Vernon, Ronnie, Gene and Norman, all of Cabool and Dale of the home; three stepsons, Tommy Smith, Lancaster, Calif., Gary Smith, Milton-Freewater, Ore., Keith Smith of the home; four brothers, Leonard, Solo, Herbert, state of Idaho, Earl and Ralph of Cabool; two sisters, Mildred Smith, Dallas, Tex. and Ruth Sloan of Houston, Mo., his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. George Sigman, Houston, Mo., 11 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Monday in the First Christian Church with Rev. Delmar Poe officiating. Burial was in Cabool Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home of Cabool.
