Jeffery Earl Griggs died September 27, 1975 in Chicago, at the age of 18. The son of Ralph and Lois Kackley Griggs of Steele, he was born November 19, 1956, in St. Louis. He was employed at a candle factory in Chicago and had attended South Pemiscot Schools.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 1, at the Church of God in Holland with the Rev. Charles Faught officiating.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Griggs leaves
five brothers, Floyd Griggs, Steele, Randy and Michael Griggs, Chicago, Richard Nelson and Stephen Lynn Griggs, both of the home; two sisters: Brenda Joyce Burnett, Steele, and Patricia Ann Griggs, Steele; a grandmother, Lula Kackley, Chicago.

Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Kenny Ferrell, Junior Marbry, Jimmy Underwood, Ronnie Underwood, Henry
Heathcock and Tommy Myers.
