Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 28, 1978, for Henry B. Wagner, 59, a retired carpenter and lifelong area resident. Mr. Jim Franks officiated the 1:00 p.m. service at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Wagner was born November 22, 1919, at Holland, and died January 25 at Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. He leaves his wife, Lola Faye Wagner of the home, three daughters, Peggy Faye Eastburn of Lynchburg, Va., Patsy Kenner of Rolla, Mo., and Donna Crawford of Steele; two sons, Larry and Henry Wagner, Jr., of Steele; three sisters, Mrs. Zelma Johnson of Yarbrough, Ark., Mrs. Grace Tutt of Pocahontas, Ark., and Mrs Versie Lovens of Blytheville; three brothers, Tom Wagner of Edwardsburg, Mich., James Wagner of Mesa, Ariz., and Bill Wagner of Steele; and nine grandchildren.
He was a veteran of World ar II.
Pall bearers were Gervis Capps, Elwood Deen, Ben Higgins, Paul Yarbrough, Hershel Johnson, and Hoye Raines. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with German-Aumon Cemetery in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lola Fay Wagner, 89, passed away March 5, 2013 in Steele, Mo. Born September 25, 1923 in New Albany, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Otto C. Scot and Olivia Stanton Scott. On October 8, 1938 in Blytheville, she was united in marriage to Henry B. Wagner, who preceded her in death.
She was a housewife and mother, while she worked as a supervisor of linen services at Chickasawba Hospital for 21 years. Baptized at the bayou in 1976, she was a member of the Steele Church of Christ.
Also preceding her in death were six brothers and sisters: Gazzie Scott, Ethel Morgan, Ernest Scott, Lucille Douglas, Dorothy Wagner and Mary Clift.
Mrs. Wagner leaves behind five children: Larry Wagner and his wife, Mary; Peggy Eastburn and her husband, Mike; Patsy Kenner and her husband, Bill; Henry (Hank) Wagner, Jr. and his wife Linda; and Donna Crawford and her husband, Allen; 11 grandchildren: Loretta, Sandy, Thann, Aaron, John, Kelin, Leticia, Kelly, Marshall, Lance and Landon; 19 great-grandchildren: Thomas, Mary Catherine, Jordan, Austin, Miranda, Madeline, Zachary, Madison, Blake, Gage, Atley, Nick, Casey, Tyler, Lauren, Lindley, Emsley, Daisy and Oliver; and one great-great-grandson on the way, McCall James Crawford.
Services were conducted March 9 at Powell Funeral Home in Steele with Mr. John Mundy officiating. Burial followed in Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele.
Pallbearers were: Lance Crawford, Landon Crawford, Kelly Wagner, Jordan Wagner, Austin Wagner and John Kenner.
Powell Funeral services of Steele were in charge of arrangements.
