John Bill Wagner, 73, died January 20, 1989 at Steele, Mo.
Son of the late John Buckhannon and Rosie Belle Liles Wagner, he was born May 13, 1915 at Holland, Mo.
He attended the General Baptist Church and was a retired farmer.
July 29, 1938 he married Dorothy Laverne Scott at Blytheville, Ark.
He leaves his wife, Dorothy Scott Wagner, of Steele; One daughter, Brenda Boydston, of Steele; Two brothers: Jim Wagner of Mesa, Ariz. and Tom Wagner of Edwardsburg, Mich.; and Three sisters: Versie Lovins and Zelma Johnson, both of Blytheville, and Grace Tutt of Steele.
He was preceded in death by one son, Billy Wayne Wagner, a daughter, Martha Ann Wagner, and a brother, Henry Wagner.
Rev. Sherel Jetton conducted services from German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, January 22, 1989, at 2:00 p.m. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with arrangements by German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele.
Pallbearers were Less Jackson, Reggie St. Germain, Blly Wlliams, Turner Gillette, Austin Biggs, and Johnny Wlliamson.

Dorothy Laverne Wagner, 76, died January 21, 1997 at the River Oaks Nursing Home in Steele, Mo. Born October 6, 1920 in Black Oak, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Otto and Olivia Stanton Scott.
She was a member of the Denton General Baptist Church in Denton, Mo. and a retired cashier. She married John Bill Wagner.
She was survived by her mother, father and her husband.
Survivors include: one daughter, Brenda Boydston of Steele, Mo.; three sisters, Lola Wagner of Steele, Mo., Lucille Douglas of Blytheville, Ar. and Mary Cliff of Jackson, Ca.; one brother, Gassie Scott of Lacenter, Ky.
Services were held Friday, January 24, 1997 at 1 p.m. at the Bradshaw Funeral Home. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
