Funeral services for John B. Wagner were conducted Friday, October 3, 1975 at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of the German-Aumon Funeral Home with the Rev. Vernon Reese and the Rev. Kenneth Jackson officiating.

Mr. Wagner was born August 4, 1887, at Ripley, Tenn., and died October 1, 1975, at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. He was a retired farmer.

He leaves four sons: Thomas Wagner, Edwardsburg, Mich., Bill Wagner and Henry Wagner, both of Steele; and James Wagner of Mesa, Ariz., three daughters: Zelma Johnson and Versie Lovins, both of Blytheville; Grace Tutt of Maynard, Ark., 23 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Ben Higgins, R. E. Hewlett, Billy Williams, Finis Cope, Paul Fowler and Odie Smith.

Services were held October 30, 1962 at the Denton General Baptist Church for Mrs. Rosa Bell Wagner who died October 28, 1962. Born in Clifton, Tenn., Mrs. Wagner was 73 and had lived in this area for 53 years.

Rev. Jack Gray, assisted by Rev. A. G. Shrum, officiated at the service.

She leaves her husband, J. B. Wagner of Steele, Route 2; four sons, Thomas of Middleville, Mich., Bill of Benton Harbor, Mich., Henry of Steele, Route 3, and James of Tempe, Ariz.; and three daughters, Mrs. Grace Tutt of Maynard, Ark., Mrs. Zelmer Johnson of Blytheville and Mrs. Versee Lovins of Wardell; two brothers, Tom Liles of St. Louis, and Julius Liles of Hermondale, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Pugh of Clifton, Tenn., Mrs. Hester Gill of Hayti and Mrs. Willie Fulsher of Cairo, Ill.; twenty-two grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Hubert Ham, R. E. Hewlett, Harvey Edington, Gilbert Atchison, Ernest Scott, and Billy Williams.

Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery with German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
