Services for Lloyd "Short" Hamilton, 60, Forsyth, were held Wednesday in Elliot-Gentry Chapel, Cabool, with the Rev. Payton Smyer officiating. Burial was in the Cabool Cemetery.
Mr. Hamilton died at 12:26 a.m. last Saturday in Harry Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia after a long illness.
A former resident of Cabool, he was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Foreign Wars in Houston. He was a construction worker and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene; his mother, Faye Smith, Cabool; two stepsons, Duane Whitney,Jonesboro, Ga., and Tom Whitney, St. Louis; A stepdaughter, Joan Eitzen, Lyman, Neb.; and three brothers, Jim and Jerry both of Cabool, and Steve, Dinosaur, Colo. [Taney County Republican, Jun 13, 1985]
