Ruby H. Miller, a long time resident of Willow Springs passed away early Thursday morning, while at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, due to natural causes. Born August 27th, 1930 to John and Lola Bradford in Waterloo, IA, she was 77 years old.
Ruby spent her entire childhood growing up in the Clear Springs area with her eleven brothers and sisters. As an adult, she would often reminisce to her family, her experiences growing up in the country such as how far she had to walk to school, and in all types of weather. she also spent her younger years helping to take care of her brothers and sisters, who lovingly looked up to her. On May 3rd, 1952 she was married to Claude L. Miller in Laramie, WY. To this union four children were born. She and her family lived in California and Texas until Mr. Miller's death in 1982, at which time Ruby returned home to Willow Springs to be close to family. Ruby had many enjoyments in her life which included working in her garden, growing flowers, playing with her dogs, organizing old photos, going to yard sales, and teaching her children how to do the "jitter-bug". She also loved to sing, and could play several instruments such as the piano, violin, and guitar. However, nothing gave her more joy than to spend time with her family. she will be greatly missed by family and all who knew her.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Ruth Bradford and Bonnie Cox, her brother Dudley Bradford, and her husband Claude L. Miller.
She is survived by her loving children: Mary H. Azevedo and her husband Daniel of Mountain Grove; Tommy L. Miller and his wife Mary of Pomona; Linda M. Roberts and her husband Eddy of Willow Springs; and Janie M. French and her husband Sears of Mooresburg, TN. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Daniel L. Azevedo of Mtn. Grove, Jason O. Azevedo of Springfield, Marjorie C. Henry of Joplin, Misty L. Miller of Willow Springs, Mandy J. Summers of Springfield, Malina Perkins and Kyle Roberts both of Willow springs, Chandra Surratt of Weatherford, TX, and Eric Surratt of Fort Worth, TX. She further leaves behind 11 great grandchildren, and her brothers and sisters: Everett "Bud" Bradford of Des Moines, IA; Richard Bradford of Willow Springs; Earl Bradford of Independence, MO; Jack Bradford of Raymondville, MO; Joe Bradford of Willow Springs, Betty Murfin of willow Springs, and Peggy Nelson and Lola Brunk both of Independence, MO.
