Jeannette Ruth (Lewis) Miller, 77 of Forsyth, MO and formerly of Seymour, Cabool and the Bendavis area of Missouri, peacefully passed from this life on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Forsyth Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on July 17, 1940 in Manes, MO the only child of the late Evertt and Ruth (Hopkins) Lewis. Jeannette had a cousin, June Hall, who was also an only child. They were always very close. June recently passed away.
As a child, Jeannette went to many churches and over the years she went to many kinds of churches. She always said “Church is Church, just pray and believe in God and you will be ok”. She had a great love for animals; she always had a dog until her health didn’t allow her to care for them.
Jeannette graduated from Mtn. Grove High School with the class of 1958. She lived a full, colorfully, diverse life. Among some of her occupations was being involved in farming, driving a school bus for Mtn. Grove and Cabool Schools and a homemaker.
In her earlier years, Jeannette was blessed with two children, Robin and Ron.
Jeannette married her soulmate, Charles Miller on December 12, 1975. Charley had three children and Jeannette had two; they raised her daughter and his two sons on a farm south of Cabool.
They moved to Springfield after the children were raised and then to West Palm Beach, FL for ten years. Charley enjoyed this very much because it was always warm there. They then returned to Missouri.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 37 years, Charley; two step sons, Frank Miller in July of 2011 and Mark Miller in February of 2010; three brothers-in-law, Raymond Miller, Gary Miller and Russell Hemphill and a cousin, June Hall. She is survived by her children, Robin Dee Todd of Mtn. Grove and Roland Dean Cawthron of Mtn. Grove; step daughter, Cheryl Altis and husband, David of Forsyth, MO; two grandchildren, Sabrina Todd and fiancé, Derrek Honeycutt of Mtn. Grove and Cole Cawthron and wife Lacey of Jacksonville, FL; step grandchildren, Michelle Altis and Katherine Altis of Broken Arrow, OK, Sandra Magee of Marshfield, MO, Christina Dadney and husband, Terry of Marshfield, Ashley Pfatenhauer and husband, Chris of St. George, UT, Amanda Loyd and husband, Kalin of Broken Arrow, OK, Franklin Mathew Miller and wife, Amanda of Rogersville, MO, Michelle Bastow and husband, Chris of Halfway, MO and Joshua Miller of Ozark, MO; great grandchildren, Shelby and Spencer Honeycutt and Everett and Waylon Cawthron; Fourteen step great grandchildren and one on the way; two sisters-in-law, Eloise Hemphill of the Kansas City MO area and Madeline Miller of Cabool, MO; as well as many other family members and friends.

Charles Franklin Miller, 82 of Seymour, MO and formerly of Cabool, MO went to his Heavenly Home on Nov. 1, 2011 at the Ozark Mountain Regional Healthcare Center in Crane, MO. He was born on July 28, 1929 in Valentine, Nebraska the son of Martin and Winifred (Camm) Miller.
Charlie moved from South Dakota to Cabool with his family when he was 7 years old. He attended Cabool Schools where he excelled at and enjoyed football, graduating with the Class of 1947. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting; he was a person with multiple abilities and occupations, including farming, heavy equipment operator and carpenter work.
He was united in marriage to Jeannette Lewis on Dec. 12, 1975. They made their home in several places, from Springfield, MO to Florida then back to Cabool before settling in Seymour, MO.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Frank and Mark; and a brother, Raymond. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette of the home; his daughter, Cheryl Altis and husband, David of Forsyth, MO; 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren with one more on the way; his sister, Eloise Hemphill of Kansas City, MO; his brother, Gary Miller of Cabool, MO; as well as several other relatives and friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
