Arra Lee Allison, son of the late Charlie and Lura Burton Allison, was born February 28, 1908, at Holland, Mo., and died May 12, 1986, at Steele at the age of 78. He farmed for several years ans served on the Steele police force for six years. He attended the Pentecostal Church.
On August 6, 1927, Mr. Allison was married to Dora Taylor Allison who preceded him in death.
He leaves six sons: Chester Allison of Arlington, Tenn., Lester Allison of Ferguson, Mo., Kenneth Allison of Fenton, Mo., and Jessie Allison, Charles Allison, and Tony Allison all of Steele; Seven daughters, Mildred Southard of Bowling Green, Ky., Etta Gray of Fort Meade, Fla., Dora Hays of Memphis, Tenn. and Tilda Wiseman, Mary Lou Scott, Ruth Carlton and Glenda Allison, all of Steele; One sister: Gertrude Taylor of Nimmons, Ark.; 37 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Steele on Wednesday, May 14, 1986, at 2 p.m. Rev. Billy Skinner officiated.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with arrangements by German-Aumon Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dora Allison was born April 14, 1909, in Gosnell, Ark., and died February 28, 1984 at the Eastwood Hospital in Memphis. She was 74.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 2, at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Steele. Rev. Billy Skinner officiated.
She was united in marriage to A.L. Allison on August 6, 1927. Mrs. Allison was a member of the Independent Tabernacle Church of God of Steele for 24 years.
She leaves her husband, A.L. Allison of the home; Seven daughters: Tilda Wiseman of Steele; Mildred Southard of Bowling Green, Ky.; Etta Gray of Ft. Mead, Fla.; Dora Hays of Memphis; Mary Lou Scott of Steele; Ruth Carlton of Steele; and Glenda Allison of the home in Steele; Six sons: Chester Allison of Arlington, Tenn.; Lester Allison of St. Louis; Jesse Allison of Steele; Charles Allison of Steele; Kenneth Allison of Fenton, Mo.; and Tony Allison of Steele; Thirty-seven grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; One aunt, Gertrude Taylor; and One cousin, Lora Reams.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
