Donald E. Hillhouse, 77, of Kennett, Mo., died Thursday, January 27, 2000 at Kennett National Health Care in Kennett.
Born Friday, August 4, 1922 in Webster County, Miss., he was the son of the late James E. Hillhouse and Fannie Lorene Lucius Hillhouse. He was also preceded in death by one son, Steve Hillhouse; one brother, Homer Hillhouse; and one sister, Louise Hillhouse.
He was a retired body mechanic and a Baptist. He served in the army during World War II.
Mr. Hillhouse leaves one son, Ronnie Hillhouse, of Crossville, Tenn.; Three brothers: Hoye Hillhouse of Steele, Mo., Louis Hillhouse of St. Louis, Mo. and E.J. Hillhouse of Huntsville, Ala.; Three sisters: Francis Brown of Belleville, Ill., Barbara Tittle of Memphis, Tenn., and Carolyn Spears of Jonesboro, Ark.; Four grandchildren; and Two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mr. Hillhouse were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2000 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Rev. Michael Funderburk officiating. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Steele was in charge.
