Robert "Dale" Elsea, 86, of rural Greentop, Missouri passed away Saturday morning October 4, 2006 at Twin Pines Adult Care Center, Kirksville.
Born February 12, 1920 in Connelsville, MO he was the son of Dora W. and Nellie (Perry) Elsea. On February 28, 1951 in Kirksville he was united in marriage to Mary Frances Jones who preceded him in death on August 19, 2001.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, Roger Dale Elsea on October 10, 1977; three brothers, Frank, Jessie and Wilborne Elsea and two sisters, Ethel Elsea in infancy and Alma Ditmars Linden.
Dale is survived by two sons, Robert L. Elsea and wife Kathy and Junior Lonberger all of Greentop, MO; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Dale was a lifelong resident of Adair County. He attended Wilmathsville School and Kirksville High School. Dale spent many years farming and taking care of his dairy cattle.
He was a member of the Brashear Lions Club, past member of N.F.O, served on the Brashear School Board and was active as a 4-H leader.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday October 7, 2006 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Cross officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Hills Cemetery.
