Mary Frances Elsea, 78, of Greentop, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening August 19, 2001 at her home.
The daigher of Orie Clyde and Etta M. (Yowell) Jones, she was born August 11, 1923 in Kirksville, Missouri. On February 28, 1951 in Kirksville she was united in marriage to Robert Dale Elsea who survives. Mary is also survived by two sons, Junior Lonberger and Robert L. Elsea and wife Kathy all of Greentop, Missouri; two sisters, Ada Lee Elsea of Kirksville and Peggy Yurkon of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren, Todd Klingaman, Trudi Babcock, Roger Lonberger, Amanda Elsea, Jennifer Elsea, Kimberly Elsea and Stephanie Elsea and five great-grandchildren, Laci Davis, Heather Klingaman, Brittany Davis, Jonathon Klingaman and Trey Russell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Roger Dale Elsea and one brother, William Jones.
Mary was a life long resident of Adair County where she resided in the Wilmathsville Community. She received her education gaduating from the Kirksvile High School. Mary was active in 4-H work over twenty-five years and was involved with the community club.
Mary attended the Bethel Community Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 22, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. The Rev. Marvin Cross will officiate. Music will be by Dianthe Cable, organist and Harold Moyer, soloist. Selections will be "Precious Memories" and "Beyond The Sunset". Burial will be in Maple Hills Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Mark March, Jack Delaney, Garry Taylor, Leon Jeffries, Sonny Findling and Jim Montgomery.
