Jewell F. Glaspie, 75, of 607 W. Pierce, died at 2:15 Thursday afternoon in the Adair County Nursing Home.

The daughter of Miletus G. and Theadocia (Peterson) Teter, she was born at Ardmore on November 30, 1894. She was married to Clyde Baldwin who preceded her in death. Later she was married to Walter Glaspie who preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1963. Also preceding her in death was one brother, Damon P. Teter in 1946.

Surviving are one son, Hubert Eugene Glaspie of Kirksville; five daughters, Dorothy Holman of Macon, Mrs. Harold (Juanita Fay) Selby of Quincy, Ill.; Mrs. Wilson (Eva May) Alborty, Milwaukee, Wis.; Lucille Konagel of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. John (Irene) McDonald of Des Moines, Ia.; three sisters, Retha Shaw of Moberly, Mrs. Leonard (Arta) Dorman of Kirksville and Mrs. Ora (Esther) Elmore of Route 1, Greentop; 16 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Glaspie moved in 1919 from Ardmore to Kirksville where she was housemother for Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity for several years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 in the Funeral Chapel of Davis and Davis with the Rev. John Goodwin, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hills cemetery.

Bearers will be members of Sigma Tau Gamma.
