Emily Narvell Robinson Pounds, 91, died Thursday, Oct. 26 at the River Oaks Care Center in Steele.
Born Jan. 16, 1909 in Gurdon, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Jesse Gene Wingfield and Ollie Jones Wingfield.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter.
Survivors include four sons, Elvis Robinson and Bobby Robinson, both of Steele, Carlos Robinson of Yazoo City, Ms., Larry Pounds of Steele; three sisters, Vera Hopper of McKenzey, Tenn., Gladys DeHoff of Hot Springs, Ark., and Mavis Lovins of Steele; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter, with the Rev. Tim Abanathy officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
