Graveside services for Eddie Cletus Wake, 77, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Wake passed away at 6:41 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2021, at Mercy St. Francis Hospital, Mountain View, Missouri.
He was born May 7, 1944, at Vanzant, Missouri, to Lewis Wake and Essie Collins Wake. On June 7, 1963, he was married at West Plains, to Paula K. Dotson, who preceded him in death on November 16, 2011. Mr. Wake was a carpenter by trade. He loved his family, and enjoyed nature, hunting and foraging for mushrooms. He was always there for anyone in need.
He is survived by four sons, Eddie Duane Wake and wife, Christina, West Plains, Darrell Wake and wife, Jessie, West Plains, Marty Wake, Peace Valley, Missouri and Mark Wake, West Plains; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Glenn Wake and wife, Violet, Pottersville, Missouri; three sisters, Lavon Pliler, Joplin, Missouri, Edna Storms, Springfield, Missouri and Marilyn Howell and husband, Dalton, West Plains; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents, wife, one grandson, Brian Wake, one brother, E. J. Wake, three sisters, Vetress Bruffet, Virginia Strickland and Neiva McCracken and one daughter-in-law, Sandra Wake, preceded him in death.
Graveside services for Paula Kay Wake, 65, West Plains, Missouri, will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2011, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mrs. Wake died at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at NHC Healthcare, West Plains, Missouri. She was born July 1, 1946, at Fresno, California to Paul Oliver Dotson and Martha Mae Yocham Dotson. On June 7, 1963, she was married near West Plains, Missouri, to Eddie C. Wake. Before her retirement, Mrs. Wake worked in the dietary department at West Vue Nursing Center for sixteen years. Mrs. Wake was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Eddie Wake, of the family home; four children, Eddie Duane Wake, wife, Christine, Darrell Wake, wife, Jessie, both of West Plains, Missouri, Marty Wake, wife, Sandra, Peace Valley, Missouri and Mark Wake, wife, Amy, West Plains, Missouri; step-father, Walter "Buck" Weaver, West Plains, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Edward Morgan, wife, Rose, West Plains, Missouri and Leon Dotson, Fresno, California; one sister, Shirley Collins, husband, Vern, West Plains, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, step-father, Carl Morgan, two brothers, Michael Joe Morgan and Tim Morgan, precede her in death.
