Services were held at the Denton Assembly of God Church, Nov. 21 for Earl Yarbrough, who died at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 19, after an illness of several weeks. He had lived here all of his life.
The Rev. Gerald Moss of St. Louis and the Rev. P.T. Huffman conducted the service and burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
He leaves his wife, Martha; a son and two daughters, Mrs. Marie Howell and Mrs. Barbara Horton; three grandchildren and five sisters and a brother.

Martha Yarbrough, 90, died Tuesday October 16, 2001 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape.
Born Saturday, April 22, 1911 in Red Star, Ark., to the late Elijah Hilure Wood and Rhoda Herrod Wood, she was married to William Earl Yarbrough who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Denton Assembly of God in Denton, Mo.
Survivors include one daughter, Marie Howell of Steele; one son, William Earl "Bill" Yarbrough of Bryon, Ohio; and one sister, Dora Hobbs, of Lubbock, Tex.; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Steele. Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
