Charlie Wagster, 61, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 1943, at his home in Cooter, Mo.

Mr. Wagster was born in Nebo, Gibson County, Tenn., April 6, 1882. He was a prominent and well known farmer, having lived in this community for the past 35 years.

Mr. Wagster was a member of the Baptist Church.

He had been suffering from chronic rheumatic valvular heart disease for some time.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 30, 1943, at 2:30 p.m. at the Baptist church in Cooter, Mo.. with Rev. Fred Walker officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Wagster, two sons, Roy and Charles, both of Cooter, three daughters, Mrs. Lorene Douglas, Flint, Mich., Mrs. Mary Francis Azbill, Wardell, Mo., and Mrs. Allene Burns, Cooter; three brothers, S.L., O.C. and Luther Wagster; four sisters, Mrs. Linnie Akins of Dyer, Tenn., Mrs. Azzlee Neil, Cooter, Mrs. Gracie Denton, Chaffee, Mo. and Mrs. Madge Notgrass, Roellen, Tenn.; one step-sister, Mrs. Maggie Pritchard of Roellen, Tenn. and five grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery with German Undertaking Co. in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Ms. Annie L. Wagster, widow of Charley Wagster, were conducted Thursday, December 12, 1974 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter. The Rev. Joe Smith officiated.

Mrs. Wagster died December 9, 1974 at the Mustin Nursing Home in Memphis. The daughter of the late John and Nancy Howell White, she was born February 15, 1882 in Obion County, Tenn. She had been a resident of the Oak Ridge Community since 1914.

Mrs. Wagster leaves one son, Charles Wagster, Flint, Mich.; three daughters, Lorene Douglas, Flint, Frances Azbill, Bartlett, Tenn., and Alene Rider, Memphis; 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with John W. German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were John Smith, J.W. Neil, Bill Laster, Hooper Azbill, Guy Azbill and Marshall Thomas.
