Martha Lavina Flood, 96, of Steele passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017, in Steele. She was born Aug. 7, 1920, in Pemiscot County, Mo., to the late E.E. Overturf and Mary Mickey Overturf. She was united in marriage to Clell Flood. She worked for the Garment Factory in Blytheville, Ark., and various restaurants as a cook.
Mrs. Flood was preceded in death by her parents, E.E. Overturf and Mary Mickey Overturf; husband, Clell Flood; one daughter, Alice Rollins; five brothers; four sisters one great-great-granddaughter and one daughter-in-law, Glenda Flood.
Survivors of Mrs. Flood include one son, Glen Flood of Steele; two sisters, Agnes Richardson of Deering, Mo., and Stellveta Bradford of Steele; six grandchildren, Steve Flood, Greg Flood, Leeann Flood, Tammy Hartzell, Bryan White and LaVonna Crawford; 12 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Flood were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 29 at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Clark officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation was held from 12 noon until the time of the service. Pallbearers were Chris Flood, Drew Rollins, C.J. White, Ethan Flood, Seth Flood and Kevin White.
Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
