Helen McCann Lawler, 82, of Cooter, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at the Great River Medical Center in Blytheville, Arkansas.
Born in Steele, she is the daughter of the late Elvis and Opal McCann. She was also preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Lawler.
Mrs. Lawler was a life-long resident of Cooter and a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church. She was also a Home Economics teacher at Cooter High School and a small business owner.
Mrs. Lawler leaves a son, Mike Lawler, of Nashville, Tenn; One daughter, Dianne Lawler of Jonesboro, Ark.; Two sisters: Mary Berry of Blytheville, and Pog Childers and her husband Marvin of Cooter; and Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lawler were held at 12 p.m., Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 at the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter with Rev. David Lewelling and Rev. Joe Smith officiating.
Burial was private at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville in charge of services.
