MRS. ARVANNA PATTERSON, 87, IS DEAD HERE

Funeral Services Monday Afternoon At Two O'clock

Mrs. Arvanna (Moore) Patterson, 87, of Kirksville, died early Saturday morning in a Kirksville hospital.

Funeral services will be held at the Dee Riley Funeral Home on Monday at 2 p.m., conducted by C. E. Davis, pastor of the South Side Baptist church. Burial will be in the Highland Park cemetery.

Mrs. Patterson was the daughter of Allen and Lydia Bennett Hilderman, and was born March 10, 1872, at Hill Town, Ia.

She was married to Wiley Benton Moore in October, 1891, at Unionville, and to this marriage 12 children were born.

Mr. Moore died in 1936, and later she was married to George Patterson, who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eph (Millie) Maize, Brashear; four sons, George D. Moore, Kirksville; Ralph Dee Moore, St. Joseph; Pearl Ed Moore and Earl E. Moore Twins, both of Kirksville; one sister, Mrs. Mary Bowers, Kirksville; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons; four daughters; four brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Patterson lived most of her life time in Adair county.

She was a member of the Baptist church.

Bearers will be: Henry Maize, Wiley Sparks, Bennie Moore, Clyde Wright, Henry Elsea and Georgie O. Moore.
