Lyle Fay Truitt Jr, 38, of 315 South Stanford, Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Thursday afternoon (June 2, 1994) at his home.
The son of Lyle and Betty Owenbey Truitt Sr., he was born August 13, 1995 in Kirksville, Missouri.
Surviving his parents, Lyle and Betty Truitt of Kirksville, Missouri; his grandmother, Mattie Burghardt; one brother, Michael and Lonna Truitt of Novinger, Missouri; one sister, Bonnie Truitt of Kirksville, Missouri; two nephews, Michael Blake Truitt and Zachary Truitt and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Lyle received his education and graduated from the Novinger High School in 1973 and later attended Northeast Missouri State University for two years. He was employed with the Florshiem Shoe Company of Kirksville for a number of years before moving to Nashville, Tennessee where he was a manager for an important store. He later moved to St. Louis, Missouri where he worked as a salesman in the Dillards Department Store before moving back to Kirksville in 1991 where he lived until the time of his death.
Lyle loved reading, dancing, and interior decorating.
He was a member of the Novinger Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at two o' clock Sunday (June 5, 1994) at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, Missouri. Chaplain Dennis Smith will officiate the service. Music will be provided by Cheryl Newland, organist, and Caryle Walker, soloist. The selections will be, "Precious Memories", and "One Day At A Time." Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be Jack Allison, Kent Anderson, Ron Owings, Bobby Horn, Bobbie Hubert and Kerry Contratto.
A visitation is in progress at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville and the family will receive friends from seven to nine o' clock this evening (June 4, 1994) at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
