Funeral service was held Tuesday, May 5, at 10:00 a.m. at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele for Elbert M. Perry, Sr. Rev. Joe Smith officiated. Mr Perry was born May 21, 1906 at Huffman, Ark., and died May 3, 1981 at his residence in Cooter.
He leaves two daughters, Netha Yacks of Cooter and Marcella Shelly of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; One son, Elbert Perry, Jr. of Steele; Six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; One brother, Raymond Perry of St. Johns, Mo.
Burial was in the Number Eight Cemetery in Cooter, with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
