Funeral services for Jeffrey Alan Thompson, 58, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Thompson passed away at 2:39 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2023, at CoxHealth in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born September 6, 1964, at Atlanta, Georgia, to George Thompson and Karen Jean Moore. On May 20, 1985, he was married at Heidelberg, Germany, to Christa Stadler. Mr. Thompson was a veteran, having retired from the United States Army. He was proud of his military career and stood firm on the Second Amendment. Mr. Thompson made guitars and loved to build things with his hands. His favorite pastime was camping and fishing. He loved his grandkids very much.
He is survived by his wife, Christa, of the family home; four children, Jens Thompson and wife, Nicole, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and Dustin Thompson, Daniela Smith, and Aaron Thompson and wife, Latisha, all of West Plains, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Carter Thompson, Evelyn Thompson, Shayla Thompson, Kyla Thompson, Jackson Smith, Regan Smith, Lena Smith, Abigail Smith, and Madelyn Thompson; his parents, George and Linda Thompson; two sisters, Gail Smith and husband, Richard, and Teresa Ward and husband, Jeff; one uncle, Ron Thompson and wife, Pam; one aunt, Patty Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His mother, Karen Thompson, maternal grandparents, Howard and Letha Moore, paternal grandparents, Galen and Verna Thompson-Hoffman, sister, Jill Felles, nephew, Ron Smith, uncles, Mike Thompson, Gary Thompson, and Ken Thompson, and several others, preceded him in death.
Burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
