Arthur Eugene James, 58, Lexington, Mo., died May 20, 1994, at Ray County Memorial Hospital, Richmond. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Walker-Nadler-Graff Chapel, Lexington; graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Zion Cemetery, Steele, Mo.

Friends may call from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.

Mr. James was born in Steele and moved to Lexington 20 years ago. He worked for Harold's Supermarket in Lexington for 20 years, retiring as supervisor of the meat department. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lexington. Survivors include his wife, Maxine James of the home; a son, David James, Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Arta James, Memphis, and Kelly James, Baton Rouge, La.; a stepson, Jacob Turner, Spring, Texas; a brother, Newtress James, Erie, Mich.; four sisters, Jewel Ivey, Lufkin, Texas, Wanda Hearst, Erie, Mary McGregor, Delta, La., and Glenda Horn, Alta Loma, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
