Funeral service was held Saturday, May 24, at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele for Lee Anson Overturf. Rev. Clyde Clark and Rev. Fred Pritchett officiated.
Mr. Overturf was born February 28, 1890 in Cape Girardeau and died May 22, 1980 at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital at Hayti at the age of 90.
He leaves his wife, Corda Martin Overturf of the home; One daughter, Mrs. Agnes Rhoades of Steele; Three sons, E.D. Overturf of St. Clair Shores, Mich., Vernon Overturf of Rochester, Mich. and Charles E. Howell of Heber Springs, Ark.; One sister, Mrs. Minnie Nunnery of Steele; Fifteen grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.

Corda Martin Overturf, 94, died Monday, January 8, 1990 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Madison, Fla.
Daughter of the late David Franklin and Manda Melvina Talley Martin, she was born July 27, 1895 at Biggers, Ark.
She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Steele, Mo. and was a homemaker.
On July 3, 1910 she married Lee A. Overturf at Covington, Mo. He preceded her in death.
Two sons: Elbert Overturf and Vernon Lee Overturf, and one daughter, Gladys Howell, also preceded her in death.
She leaves one son, Everette Overturf, of Roseville, Mich.; One daughter, Agnes Rhoades, of Lake Park, Ga.; Fifteen grandchildren; Thirty great-grandchildren; and Twenty great-great-grandchildren.
Rev. Loyd Adams conducted funeral services from Bradshaw German-Aumon Chapel in Steele on Thursday, January 11, 1990, at 2:00 p.m.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, with arrangements by Bradshaw German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele.
