Services were held recently for Mrs. Nettie Joyce Miller, 85, at Oak Grove Baptist Church near Deering. The Rev. A.C. Gardner and the Rev. Frank Payne officiated at the service.
Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late John and Molly Seabaugh Walker. She died November 29, 1976 and was preceded in death by her husband, John Riley Miller, who died in 1956.
She is survived by six sons: Riley, Albert and Clifford of Steele; John of St. Louis; J.W. of Cahokia, Ill., and C.L. of Deering; one daughter, Mrs. Irene Whatley of Northport, Ala., 36 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Georgia Davis of Muskegon, Mich.
Pallbearers were Wendell Hoskins, J.A. Oakley, John Schrimsher, Charlie Hoskins, Jack Driskill, and Dean Cole.
German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery.
