Mrs. Florence E. Powell, 86, died October 9, 1979, at the Home For Golden Years in Senath, Mo.
Born November 27, 1892 at Charleston, Mo., she was 86 years, 10 months and 12 days of age.
Mrs. Powell had been a resident of Steele since 1946 until ill health caused her to enter the nursing home.
She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Steele.
Funeral service was held Thursday, October 11, 1979 at 2:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele with the Rev. Paul York officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Steele, with John W. German Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Powell leaves her daughter, Mrs. Carmen Mathis of Steele; a niece, Mrs. Irene Saunders of St. Louis; and friends.
Pallbearers were Howard "Bo" McCollum, David Whitfield, Clarence Poteet, James Pery, Joe Saliba, and Wilburn Clark.
