Martha Charlzene Crocker, 72, of Steele, died Wednesday, October 29, 1003 at Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett, Mo.

Born December 6, 1930, in Michie, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Grady Glidewell and Effie Smith Glidewell.

Mrs. Crocker was a mother, homemaker, and of the Assembly of God faith.

She leaves six sons: Jackie Mosier, Joe Mosier, Rick Crocker, Steve Crocker, Randy Crocker, and Marty Crocker, all of Steele; one daughter, Wanda Ellis of Steele; two sisters: Shirley Threadgill of Steele, and Rachel Arnold, of Southaven, Miss.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Crocker were held Friday, October 31, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Faught officiating. Burial was at the Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.

Pallbearers were Stacy Mosier, Scotty Tubbs, Michael Tomlinson, Hubert Galbraith, Johnny Galbraith and Terry Morgan.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 29, 1978 at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Steele for Willie C. Crocker, 62, of Steele. Bro. Fred Allbright and Bro. Charles Faught officiated at the services.

Mr. Crocker was born February 10, 1916 at Tupelo, Miss., and died June 26, 1978 at the Doctor's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

He was the son of the late Floyd and Mattie Green Crocker, and was united in marriage to Charlene Glidewell at Blytheville, Ark., on August 28, 1952.

He leaves the following: his wife, Mrs. Charlene Crocker of Steele; four sons: Steven, Ricky, Randy, and Marty Crocker, all of the home; two step-sons, Harold Mosier and Jackie Mosier of Steele; one daughter, Mrs. Wanda McDaniel of Steele; one brother, Elbert Crocker, of Holland; three sisters: Mrs. Lizzie Perry of Holland, Mrs. Louise Crosskno of Tunica, Miss., and Mrs. Elodie Scott of Caruthersville. He also leaves five grandchildren.

Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery with the John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were J.B. Barnard, Clifford Britt, Harold Ganus, Shannon Overturf, Austin Biggs, and Charles Blagg.
