Octie Yarbrough Vaughn died June 8, 1974 at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis. She was born October 1, 1912 in Tennessee.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele with the rev. Charles Darnell officiating.
Mrs Vaughn leaves her widower, T.A. Vaughn of Steele; one daughter, Velda Parham, Steele; two sons: Billy Gene Vaughn and Bobby Joe Vaughn, boih of Caruthersville; four sisters: Jenny Mae McCarver, Charleston, and Lela James, Irene Thompson and Pearl Ferguson, all of Kerwin, Calif.; one brother, Merle Yarbrough, Sunnyvale, Calif.
Interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery at Steele with German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Bill Callis, Doyle Batchlor, Don Callis, Bud Davis, Edd Henley and Luther Callis.

Thomas Arthur Vaughn, 75, of Steele, died March 7, 1988 at his home. Born June 13, 1912 at Braggadocio, he was the son of James Lee and Alice Elizabeth Pullam Vaughn. He was a member and former Sunday school teacher at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a retired factory worker for Comet Coach in Blytheville.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Madge Hays Vaughn of Steele; One son, Billy Vaughn of Steele; One stepdaughter, Mrs. Felice Sinko of Steele; Ten grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were March 9 at John W. German Funeral Home chapel in Steele, the Rev. Ken Attix officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Hans Green, Hobert Poteet, Herman Via, Dwain Becker, David Kelley and Joe Saliba.
Honorary pallbearers were Bert and Clarence Poteet.
