Mr. Jimmy Lawson Walker, 56, died Aug. 31, 2001 at the St. Bernard Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
He was born March 9, 1945, in Blytheville, Ark., to the late Murrell and Louise Hawkins Walker. He attended and graduated Cooter Public Schools and then attended the School of the Ozarks in Branson, Mo.
On Nov. 21, 1981 in Caruthersville he was united in marriage to Shelia Moody. He was employed as the maintenance manager of the Agricultural Equipment for Lynn Seed Company for the last 18 years. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia Walker; three daughters, Melanie Kay Rogers and April Nicole Walker of Cooter, and Lisa Walker Miller of Flippin, Ark.; one son Michael Lynn Walker of Jonesboro, Ark.; one brother Steve Walker of Cooter; and one sister, Linda Starr, of Boyne City, Mich.; three grandchildren, Michael Walker, Chance Walker Miller, and Lawson Hunter Walker.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Mlnday, Sept. 3, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Rev. John Earl Dunavant and Rev. Dave Lewelling officiating. Burial was in the Mitchell Number 8 Cemetery in Cooter. Pall bearers were Jack Caruthers, Billy Wayne Eaton, Rod Lynn, Jeff McLavain, Eddie McLavain, and David Carr. Honorary pall bearers were Joe Lynn and Mike Lynn, and Junior Cooper.
John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of the services.
