Melissa Ann German of Malden has passed away on May 24, 2011 at the age of 50 years, 8 months and 8 days. She was born on September 16, 1960 in Howell, Michigan and was a wife, mother and grandmother of the Baptist faith. In 1978 she graduated from Cooter High School and went on to become a hair sytlist and homemaker. She loved her cats and working in her flowers and plants.
She was preceded in death by her father, L.B. Buchanan and her brother, Lannie Lawler.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Richard M. German of Malden, her daughter, Whitney Parish Hillis and her husband Chad of Malden, her granddaughter, Elizabeth Hillis of Malden, her mother, Netha Perry Razer of Cooter, her niece, Laura Lawler Chapman of Lexington, Kentucky and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m., May 28, 2011 at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti with Reverend Doug Wahls officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at the Mitchell #8 Cemetery in Cooter.
John W. German Funeral Home of hayti is in charge of services.
