Mrs. Lula Mae Crawford, 91, died Saturday, August 11, 1993, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Montana Whitfield, in Steele, Mo.

Born October 25, 1900 at Cooter, Mo., Mrs. Crawford was a daughter of the late Virgil Funderburk and Rosa Lee Allison Funderburk.

At Cooter on December 23, 1920 she was united in marriage with Andrew J. Crawford, who preceded her in death August 31, 1958.

A member of the First Baptist Church in Steele, Mrs. Crawford was a home-maker and lifelong resident of this community.

Mrs. Crawford leaves one son, Jack Crawford, of Steele; a daughter, Mrs. Montana Whitfield of Steele; two sisters, Mrs. Della Hinson of Steele and Mrs. Mayme Stone of Blytheville, Ark., one granddaughter, Mrs. Davie Kay Cary, of Martin, Tenn.; three grandsons, Roy Whitfield of Campbell, Mo. and Andy and Jim Crawford, both of Steele; and five great-grandsons: Drew Crawford, Dustin Crawford, and Kyle Crawford, all of Steele; and John Cary of McKenzie, Tenn. and Allen Cary of Knoxville, Tenn.

Funeral services for Mrs. Crawford were held Monday, August 23, 1993, at First Baptist Church in Steele, with Rev. Billy Skinner and Virgil Funderburk officiating.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were James Cary, John Cary, Jim Crawford, Roy Whitfield, John Alford and Virgil Funderburk.
