Funeral services for Ruby Mae Brotherton, 82, West Plains, were Monday, March 8, 2010, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brotherton died at 3:10 p.m., Thursday, March 4, 2010, in St. John's Regional Medical Center, Springfield, MO. She was born Aug. 8, 1927, at Peace Valley, MO, to Fred and Irene Felty Irvin. On Feb. 23, 1949, she was married at Salem, AR, to Paul Benjamin Brotherton, who preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 2003. Mrs. Brotherton had been the attendant for the Zizzer Buggy Bath and Laundromat. She was a Christian.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Thompson, husband, Allen, Brenda Ford, companion, Keith Gray and Glenda Brotherton, all of West Plains; six grandchildren, Crystal Cook, husband, David, Heather Butler, husband, Robert, Billie Fuller, Jeremy Harrison, wife, Brandi, Vanessa Stirewalt, husband, Bert and Ashley Harrison; 15 great-grandchildren, Lauren Cook, Raven Collins, Hayden Collins, Andrew Stiner, Marissa Butler, Garen Butler, Colten Harrison, Cainen Harrison, Elizabeth Harrison, Alexis Stirewalt, Courtney Stirewalt, Emily Stirewalt, Robie Stirewalt, Presley Fuller and Peyton Fuller; one brother, Bill Irvin, West Plains; brother-in-law, Charles Brotherton, West Plains, MO; several nieces and nephews; and special cousin, Louise Cook, West Plains.
Her parents, husband; one infant son; one sister, Ina Lee Brotherton; and one sister-in-law, Betty Jo Irvin, precede her in death.
Burial was at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashley Harrison Children's Fund and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
