Mrs. Arline Bailey of Steele was born June 20, 1902, at Mayfield, Ky. She died December 16, 1984, at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville, Ark., at the age of 82.

She was a member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Steele.

Mrs. Bailey was the daughter of the late Thomas Bell Riley and Virginia Elizabeth Riley. She was united in marriage to Lester V. Bailey at Steele, Mo., January 19, 1924. To this union a daughter was born. Her husband preceded her in death March 15, 1960 and her daughter, Janice Horton, died December 12, 1960.

She leaves three cousins: Mrs. Martha Blazek of Blytheville; Mrs. Lynette O'Brien and Erin O'Brien of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Elmo and Dorothy Bailey of Arcadia, Calif.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 19, 1984, at 1 p.m. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Steele, Mo., with Rev. Jim Doyle officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.

Active pallbearers were Delbert DePriest, Wayne Southern, Gene Wingfield, Don Rogers, Billy Johns, and Howard Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Bowen Travis, Jack Hatley, Mike Graham, Jerry Graham, Burley White, S.L. Johns, and Jack Hutchison.
