Missouri

4 Feb 1898 Lexington, Henderson, TN - 30 Apr 1938, Holland, Pemiscot, MO

Parents William L. & Margaret Hamilton Wilson

After being ill only five days of lobar pneumonia, William Perry Wilson, 40, died Saturday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ludie Kenley, in Holland. Mr. Wilson was highly respected in the community where he had resided for many years, and the large number of friends who gathered Sunday to pay their last tribute of respect, attested to the high esteem in which he was held.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Baptist Church in Holland, conducted by Rev. N.D. DePriest, assisted by Rev. C.E Hunt. Interment was made in the Mount Zion Cemetery. German Undertaking Co. had charge of arrangements.
William Perry Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Wilson, was born February 4, 1898, in Lexington, Tenn., and died April 30, 1938 in Holland, Mo., at the age of 40 years, 2 months and 26 days. His mother and father, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death several years ago.
He leaves to mourn his death, two brothers, Garvin and Guy, of Holland; three sisters, Mrs. Ludie Kenley of Holland, and with whom he made his home, Mrs. Lector Barger of Cooter, Mrs. Floy Cohoon of Flint, Mich., several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and a host of friends.
Although not a member of any church, Mr. Wilson, when a small boy, professed his faith in Christ and on his death bed made a statement that he was ready to meet his Maker.
