Mrs. Clara Frazier, 75, a resident of River Oaks Nursing home in Steele, Mo., died Saturday, February 29, 1992 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Blytheville, Ark.

A member of the First Baptist Church in Steele, Mrs. Frazier was born in New Albany, Mississippi.

The widow of Joe Frazier, she had been a resident of this area for the past 48 years.

Mrs. Frazier leaves seven sons: Sammy Frazier, John Frazier, and Billy Frazier, all of Blytheville, Bobby Frazier of Coloma, Mich., Alton Frazier of Tallahassee, Fla., Boyce Frazier of Holland, Mo., and Travis Frazier of Memphis, Tenn.; four daughters: Irene Miller of New Albany, Betty Henley of Mountain Home, Ark., Kelly Sue Langston of Coloma, and Linda Petty of Caruthersville, Mo.;
one sister, Susie Smithy, of New Albany; 32 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frazier were conducted by Rev. Gary Andrews Monday, March 2, 1992, at 1:30 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville.

Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.

Joe Frazier, a retired railroad employee, died Friday, September 6, 1974 at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital at Hayti at the age of 72.

Born in Mississippi, he moved to this area in 1949. He was a member of the Church of God and a veteran of the U.S. army.

Mr. Frazier leaves his widow, Clara Frazier of Steele; seven sons: Bobby Frazier, Benton Harbor, Mich., Sam Frazier and Alton Frazier, Jonesboro, Ark., Travis Frazier, Pascagoula, Miss., John Frazier, Bill Frazier, and Boyce Frazier, all of Steele; five daughters, Mrs. Irene Miller, Victoria, Miss., Callie Sue Langston, Benton Harbor, Mich., Betty Jean Henley, of Holland, Linda Gail Darnell, Memphis, and Elaine Kent, Watervliet, Mich.; two brothers: Jay Frazier, New Albany, Miss., and Luther Frazier, Aptos, Calif.; one sister, Jean Graham, Chicago; 35 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 9, at 2:00 p.m. in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville, Ark. The Rev. Charles Faught officiated.

Interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery at Steele with Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Don Callis, Bill Callis, Sonny Callis, Charles Clark, Donnie Riley, and George Langston.
