Funeral services for Arthur Lee Anderson, a former resident of Cooter, were held Tuesday, November 17, 1981 at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Rev. William McDonald officiated and Tim Tuberville was the organist.
Mr. Anderson was born November 23, 1888, in Dyer County, Tennessee, and died November 15, 1981 in the Cross County Hospital in Wynne, Arkansas, at 92.
He leaves two daughters, Mildred Smith of Haines City, Florida and Mrs. Dolly Mays of Cherry Valley, Arkansas; four sons: Charlie Anderson and Brody Anderson, both of Steele; Sidney Anderson of Cooter; and J.D. Anderson of Cherry Valley; one sister, Mrs. Eula Burns of Finley, Tennessee; 26 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Clifton Forsythe, Bud Davis, J.D. McCaig, Charlie Stevens, Allen Franklin, and Shon Pollard.
Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Nellie Anderson of Cooter died at her home Saturday, October 26, 1974. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, October 29, 1974, at 2:00 p.m. at Tyler Church of God with the Rev. Don Martin officiating.
She was born October 13, 1894 in Hardin County, Tennessee.
Mrs. Anderson leaves her widower, Arthur lee Anderson; two daughters: Mildred Smith of Haines City, Fla., and Dollie Mays of Cherry Valley, Ark.; four sons: Charley Anderson, Sidney Anderson and J.D. Anderson, all of Cooter, and Brodie Anderson of Steele; two sisters: Mary Lou Hivley, Cherry Valley and Clara Williams; two brothers: Allen William, Fort Smith, Ark., and Clyde Williams, Fair Oaks, Ark.
Interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery, at Steele with German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Jessie Neal, Joe Ricketts, Charley Lacer, Danny Flowers, Shon Pollard and Joe Webb.
