Funeral services for Mrs. Carol Jean Green, 35, were held Thursday, March 29, 1984 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Church of God in Steele. Rev. Lindell Cox officiated and Tim Tuberville and Glenda Flood were soloist and organist.
Mrs. Green was born April 19, 1948 in Michie, Tenn., and died March 27, 1984, at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of God in Steele.
She leaves her husband, Virgil Green, of the home, Route 1, Hayti; one daughter, Faith Michelle Britt, also of the home; two step-sons, Tracy Edward and Dewayne Eugene Green; her mother and father: Nell and Eldridge Gray of Steele; and her paternal grandparents, Carl and Bessie Gray, also of Steele.
Preceding her in death were two sons, Edward Wayne Britt, Jr. and Rodney Britt, and her maternal grandparents, George and Bessie Haynes.
Pallbearers were Danny Wright, Doug Smithwick, Keith Haynes, Howard Wright, Jacky Gray and Michael Cox.
Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
