She was engaged to William Wilkerson when she passed.
IVEL M. BROWN DIES
Ivel McLane Brown, born August 12, 1909, and passed away at her home near Granby, Feb. 8, 1936, at the age of 26 years, 5 months and 26 days. She was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gabe Brown and had spent all her life at home. She was always kind and considerate to all her friends, and to know her was to love her. She leaves her mother, father, two sisters, two brothers and
one niece to mourn her passing.
She was engaged to Wm. Wilkerson, who was with her during her illness. Two brothers have preceded her in death. Besides her relatives she leaves a host of friends who loved and respected her and are deeply mourning her passing.
Love is the sweetest bud that blows,
Its beauty never dies
On earth among the saints
And ripens in the skies
The finest flower that ever blowed
Opened on Calvary's tree,
On Heaven's bank supremely fair,
This flower of wonder blooms.
But not to Heavenly shores confined
The seeds from which they grow
Took root within her virgin mind
And blest our home below.
And soon on yonder bank above
May every blossom here
Appear a full-ripe flower of love,
Like Christ transplanted there.
The family hereby expresses many thanks for the many deeds of love and kindness shown in all our bereavement. She died of pneumonia fever, after ten days of suffering, though faithfully attended by Dr. J. W. Langley.
The funeral services were well rendered by Eld. Oscar Anglin of Granby.
The body was prepared by the skillful hand of Jas. Nuttman.
Music by the J. D. Miracle class. The pallbearers were life-long friends
Wm. H. Wilkerson, Chas. Jennings, Lawrence Berner, Don Tabor, Cliff Patton and Vester Babb..
