Lucy Jane Hester was born April 27, 1871 in Newton County, Missouri, the daughter of the late J. H. and Mary Ann Hester, and passed away Dec. 19 in her home near Granby. She was married to Gabe Brown April 10, 1892, who passed away some ten years ago. To this union was born seven children, three having preceded her in death.
Survivors are Irma, William, and Heber Brown and Ruth Patton,
all of Granby, route 2 and four grandchildren, Joann Brown and
Darrel Brown and George and Mary Patton. Also several nieces
and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted in the Sweetwater Baptist Church Monday afternoon, Dec. 21 by Rev. O. E. Coons of Bentonville, Ark., assisted by Rev. Housten Tracey of Fairview. Music was furnished by the Clear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Choir. Pallbearers were Clyde Patton, Vic Hatfield, Don Tabor, Bill Roberson, Darrel
Brown and Reber Wheeler.
